Carbless is a low carb recipe app. We built it to be as private as possible.
Everything you do in the app (your favorites, week plan, shopping list, taste preferences and settings) is stored only on your own device. It never leaves your phone. There are no accounts and no sign-up.
Nothing personal. The app downloads its recipe catalog from our content server, which involves a standard network request. We do not track what you view, cook, save or search.
When you give a recipe a thumbs up or down, that rating is sent to our content server so we can see which recipes people enjoy and improve the catalog. It is tied to a random, app generated device identifier (no name, email or account) and contains only the recipe and your rating. It is not linked to you as a person.
If the app crashes, an anonymous technical crash report (device model, OS version, error details) may be sent to Sentry, a crash reporting service, so we can fix bugs. Crash reports contain no personal data and no recipe activity.
The app can show local notifications when new recipes are available. This check happens on your device; no notification data is sent to us.
We do not sell, share or trade any data. There are no ads and no analytics trackers.
